Taxi user rights and duties
In addition to the general rights acknowledged to the taxi customer by virtue of consumer rights legislation, the taxi user also has the following rights:
1.
To receive service in basic conditions of equality, non-discrimination, quality, safety and preference in the order of request;
 2. At stops, to select the vehicle with which he/she wishes to receive service, unless there is an established queue system for the purpose of organization or smooth service;
 3. To be attended appropriately by the taxi driver during the provision of service;
 4. To express him/herself in any of the official languages;
 5. To access a clean vehicle with a well-groomed driver;
 6. To be helped by the taxi driver to get into and/or out of the vehicle, in case of reduced mobility problems;
 7. To get into and out of the vehicle in places where his/her safety is guaranteed;
 8. To transport free of charge a seeing eye dog or other assistance dogs for individuals with reduced mobility;
 9. To access the taxi licence number and the current fare rates;
 10. To receive the help of the taxi driver to load and unload luggage from the trunk, if carrying such;
 11. To choose the route that he/she considers to be the best;
 12. To choose the sound volume and the temperature of the inside of the vehicle;
 13. To open and close the rear windows and to demand that the heat or air conditioning systems be switched on or off, and to get out of the taxi if his/her requests are not fulfilled;
14. To receive an invoice or receipt that includes all the details of the service: price, origin and destination of the route; tax identification number of the licence holder, licence number and vehicle plate number. Moreover, such document shall accredit that the passenger has paid the price of the service;
15. To receive up to 20 euros of change for the payment of the service;
16. To file the appropriate claims regarding the service.
